A Tale of Corporate Atrocity: Microsoft Tries to Patent RSS
Today I received a link to a patent granted to Microsoft, where they claim to have invented all this stuff.More here (and here).
Presumably they're eventually going to charge us to use it. This should be denounced by everyone who has contributed anything to the success of RSS.

Your summary and at least one of the linked articles claims this is a granted patent. As the underlying link makes clear, this is a patent application. There is still time, in other words, for this to be rejected.
